Is it ok to sit pork ribs in the kitchen sink?

Before cleaning and seasoning ribs, my mother usually sits them in the kitchen sink. She washes it first of course but I still don’t like when she does it. Isn’t that kinda germy even if it’s been cleaned? Then when I choose not to eat them (for obvious reasons) she gets mad that I don’t like her cooking.

P.S. – This is a serious question not a joke. I asked this question a few days ago but didn’t get an answer.
