Redoing bathroom components (toilet/vanity/flooring). What order?

We are redoing parts of our 2 bathrooms. We are replacing the flooring, the toilet, and the vanity, however we are not doing anything with the showers/tubs. From what I've read you should do the flooring before you do the toilet, but wouldn't you want to do the vanity before you do the flooring? We will most likely be having a professional do the vanity and toilet, however we plan on doing the flooring ourselves. So would we have to have the professional do the vanities, then we do the flooring, then have them come back another day to do the toilets? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Also, the flooring will most likely be tile (we haven't finalized it just yet though).
