Replacing a built-in vanity with a free-standing?

I want to replace my built-in vanity with a free-standing one in my bathroom. When I remove the old one, what do I do with the walls? I assume they won’t have the same texture that the rest of the walls have. Do I apply new texture to them and then paint them before adding the new free-standing vanity? Also, if I were to replace the flooring in the bathroom, should I remove the old vanity, replace the flooring and then put the new one in?

Thanks guys!!
